At our educational forums, CCCC continues to have opportunities for participants to briefly share new concepts and practices. Let us know if you would like to schedule one of these presentations to show how you are implementing culture change in your home! Also let us know if you know of good teachers, speakers, programs, or resources regarding culture change!

Wellness Panel: Alternative Approaches to Improving Individual Wellness

The panel will talk about wellness for seniors and non-seniors. The panel:

  1. Dr. Sheldon Goldberg, M.D., FAAPMR - He will speak to advances in topical medication administration.
  2. Nancy Levensen - Founder of Namaste Works and Yoga Wellness, LLC - A highly regarded yoga therapist and champion of aging adults, Nancy’s mission is helping others restore optimal health through mind, body and spirit practice.
  3. Mary Dieffenbach, RN, ND - Doctor of Naturopathy - Mary will speak to her experiences and successes in reducing medications.
  4. Evy Cugelman, Pinon Management. Evy is a certified Therapeutic Touch educator and a Validation instructor, as well as versed in many holistic practices.

The Chateau Assisted Living : Where Everybody Knows Your Name

Heidi Pederson and her team will present how the Chateau des Mons has embraced the Eden Journey for six years. Using the principles as the framework for their transformation, the Chateau will discuss their struggles and achievements via a panel of care partners, elders, and family members.

Our agenda will be networking with other homes regarding dilemmas with culture change. We will also have Sheri Clark there from the Colorado Culture Change Coalition to introduce herself to the coalition. Please come and join us, bring your ideas, and let's help each other in the culture change movement on the Western Slope. We had a very interesting meeting last month with a lot of ideas and solutions, we are keeping culture change moving forward.

Bring your administrator, nurses, CNAs, housekeeping , dietary , social service, and activity department with any of their culture change problems so that we can help brainstorm a solution.

Bring a snack to share.
